Sing to the Lord a new song…
May 23, 2006
1 Sing to the LORD a new song;
sing to the LORD, all the earth.2 Sing to the LORD, praise his name;
proclaim his salvation day after day.3 Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous deeds among all peoples.4 For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise;
he is to be feared above all gods.Psalm 96:1-4
If there were songs sung at the retreat that touched your heart (and/or ears :Þ) that you were unfamiliar, with, please post a comment on this post, and your curiosities will be fulfilled~! We will direct you to the proper resources so that you can make that new song a part of your declaration of God's glory.
The following are some songs that may have been new to some of you:
- Unashamed – Starfield, from Beauty in the Broken
- He Knows My Name – Tommy Walker, from iWORSHIP
- Yahweh – Shawn McDonald, from Simply Nothing
- The Hand that Holds the World – Starfield, from Beauty in the Broken
If there are other songs that you recall bits and pieces of that you'd like to know, or if you would like sheet music for any song, feel free to comment here, as well.

Just a correction on the enthused comments above: The "second song" is actually called "Jesus Lover of My Soul (It's All About You)", originally written by Paul Oakley (when he was still active with the Passion movement – check http://www.268generation.com), but recently covered by someone called Charmaine, who used to sing backup vocals for Rebecca St. James.
